🎥 Minisode 3: To New York City

We stepped the mast and finally felt the sails fill again — after weeks of motoring through the canal, Sweetwater was sailing. The wind came on strong and spicy as we made our way down the Hudson toward New York City.

We explored a small island, watched the skyline grow on the horizon, and rounded out the leg with the Statue of Liberty off our bow.

All of this, to bring our liveaboard sailing vacations to you in the Bahamas.

Next stop: the Atlantic.

I am your coach Evan, a Sail Canada educator. We teach in Lake Ontario and we are sailing to the Bahamas to bring our learn-to-sail course straight into one of the best cruising grounds in the world — the Exumas. You do not need a partner to do this. Solo travellers get a private cabin and still train as part of a tight, supportive crew. You will live aboard for 8 days, learn by doing, and build skills in real conditions. Between lessons we will explore Pablo Escobar’s sunken plane, swim with the pigs, and spend full days in shallow, glass-clear water.
