Live & Learn to Sail in the Exumas – Winter 2025–26
This winter, Sweetwater — our 2011 Bavaria 36 — will be our floating home in the turquoise waters of the Exumas, Bahamas. For 8 days and 7 nights, we welcome you aboard not just as a guest, but as part of our crew. This is not a packaged charter where you’re simply along for the ride — it’s more like an Airbnb at sea, where you live, learn, and share in the rhythms of life aboard a sailing yacht.
Each morning begins with the sound of water lapping against the hull, coffee in hand, and a sail briefing on deck. Then we cast off for a day of hands-on training, exploring one of the most beautiful cruising grounds in the world. Our destinations may include Norman’s Cay, the Blue Lagoon, Pig Beach, and Staniel Cay — with plenty of stops for snorkeling in crystal-clear water, beach walks, and relaxed afternoons. One special dinner ashore is included, but most meals are enjoyed together on board, prepared in Sweetwater’s galley.

Basic Cruising only – Perfect for beginners ready to learn safe operation of a keelboat in familiar waters.
Basic & Intermediate combined – Build from the fundamentals into more advanced seamanship in one continuous experience.
Intermediate only – For sailors with Basic Cruising and navigation prerequisites, focusing on confident operation in unfamiliar waters, advanced docking and anchoring, and vessel systems.
