The Vision
A rare position in a rising category
Skills-based, experiential learning is a fast-growing way people choose to spend their time and money. They want to come away with a real, certified ability, not just a holiday. Happy Sailing sits at that intersection: certified sailing education where small crews learn by living aboard, taught to a standard, now paired with online learning that extends the classroom before and after every course.
Founded and directed by Evan Logan, a Sail Canada credentialed instructor with a background in hospitality and management, Happy Sailing has been built the disciplined way: small classes, high standards, and instruction that earns repeat students, referrals, and national media attention. It is a founder-led operation with a clear plan to scale.
The recognition has followed quickly. In its Best Places to Go in 2026 feature on Prince Edward County, Condé Nast Traveler named Happy Sailing directly. The Globe and Mail recommended it for its fresh, water-based perspective on the County, and regional press has continued to follow. Few independent sailing schools in the country have drawn that kind of attention.

Building now
Happy Sailing operates through the year: Prince Edward County from spring to fall, then liveaboard courses in the Exumas and the Sea of Cortez through the winter. The model is deliberately small and hands-on, capped at four students per course, with strong utilization across peak liveaboard weeks. Demand is driven by repeat students, referrals, and steady editorial attention.
Growth to date has been disciplined, supported in part by FedDev Ontario funding to grow the sport of sailing in southeastern Ontario. On top of the on-water school, we are building online learning systems that extend instruction beyond the boat, a scalable layer that reaches students well outside our sailing season.
Detailed operating metrics and financials are shared with qualified partners under a mutual non-disclosure agreement.
Where We're Headed
Four vectors of growth
A clear, capital-efficient path to scale, built on a model that already works.
Fleet Expansion
Double our winter liveaboard capacity.
Demand for liveaboard weeks already runs ahead of our fleet. Adding capacity in the Bahamas and Mexico turns a waitlist into revenue while protecting the small-group experience that defines the school.
Certification & Market Access
Open the US and international markets.
Alongside our Sail Canada certification, we are adding American Sailing (ASA) and International Yacht Training (IYT) accreditation. Recognized credentials in the US and abroad open the door to a much larger pool of students.
Geographic Scaling
Add international destinations.
We have a repeatable playbook for launching in a new region. Each destination extends the season, deepens the brand, and opens the door to more international students.
Corporate & B2B Retreats
Executive team programs.
Leadership offsites and team programs aboard translate naturally into a high-value corporate channel, filling shoulder-season weeks and building durable client relationships.
The Opportunity Spectrum
Ways to come aboard
We are being deliberate about who we bring in. Each pathway is structured around how you prefer to participate, from hands-on collaboration to passive capital.
Pathway 01
Strategic Partners & Joint Ventures
For operators, brands, and hospitality groups. Co-develop destinations, cross-promote to aligned audiences, or build joint offerings together.

Pathway 02
Asset-Backed & Fractional Fleet Investors
For investors who prefer tangible assets. Participate in fleet growth through asset-backed or fractional vessel structures, with the boats themselves underpinning the investment.
Ideal if you want exposure to real assets with a clear use case.

Equity & Growth-Network Investors
For those who want a stake in the company. A limited allocation for aligned individuals who bring capital and, ideally, a network that helps Happy Sailing grow.
Ideal if you back founders and open doors, not just cheques.

Three pathways: strategic partnerships and joint ventures, asset-backed and fractional fleet investment, and equity or growth-network participation. Terms are tailored to each partner.
How is Happy Sailing planning to grow?

Opportunities range from roughly $25,000 to $500,000 and above, depending on the pathway and structure.
